Heroes of Legend by Fatefulbrawl

Fateful: I trust my readers have seen the first 2 parts of this brawl series so we won't recap anything, but we'll say this.

Aladdin: Also this may or may not be the last part to this brawl, if it is the last one then we'll put the words: last round, in the brawl before the final confrontation, so without further aduo let's resume!
---------------------------

It appears Link's prediction was accurate as a giant armored kraken rivaling him in size raised from the seas depths entangling the hero's weapons in it's many arms while pushing him down into the sea hoping to drown the Elven knight, and if Link actually needed to breath then that would indeed be a problem.

To bad for the creature Link didn't have such a weakness so he fought for control with him, all the while Gil peppered the Hyrulian with high heat lasers scorching the young man in the most visible parts of his body; mostly the face, while the Kraken continued to hold him down in a mount position.

Getting fed up fast with the little game Link reached up his left hand and put the Kraken in a strong head lock before rolling over to end up on top this time, throwing a downward shield bash stunning the overgrown squid , afterwards he pulled out his bow and began to fire upon the Heaven soarer ship of Gil.

It was to be frank like trying to hit a supersonic jet with a pellet gun; the ship casually evaded the barrage of building sized arrows coming towards it with little effort even taking the time to preform complex bowel rolls and other air tricks just as if to mock Link for his efforts.

Gil watched from the cockpit grinning like a fool the whole while, " I must say you have quite the surprises up your sleeve, but I have yet to use my trump cards yet, so unless you have another way to challenge me then you're finished Elf,".

Once again Gil was right he would be killed soon if this was all he had, good thing it wasn't, not by a long shot...........

    ( On the aforementioned island)

The figures Link sent to set up an ambush on the stranded island had reached it in record time, all of them huddled together forming a plan in seconds then a blue member from the group pulled out a flute playing it and summoning Link's own personal mode of air combat: The Crimson Loftwing.

Together the blue and purple one boarded the great bird as he lifted off to the sky directly towards the sea to air battle, while the red one pulled out a Zora mask for a different surprise attack...

    ( Back to the Brawl)

Link was still trying in vain to land a direct hit on the Heaven soarer that was still dodging with out difficulty, then it simply stopped in front of a bomb arrow's path, but made no attempt to move instead Gilgamesh activated his shields tanking the blow as the ship was covered by the protective ward.

The smoke cleared showing the vessel had emerged unscratched, and just ass the Hero of time wondered how it could get any worse a familiar tentacle appeared around his ankles spreading them far apart causing the Elf to preform a split, luckily the Hyrulian was quite flexible.

Again taking advantage of Link's vulnerable position Gil fired miniature termite rounds at his back, the constantly burning material began to rapidly burn away at Link's cloths and armor getting to the skin in just a few seconds, but that wasn't it as The immerse of everything also had small chemical loads mixed in with it

The added substance helped it to drill right through Link's skin straight to the muscle which was far more resistant but still took a toll, wincing in pain Link knew his giant form was steadily draining him of magic so he'd have to bid his time just a li- "Caw hokk hook,"!

The Triforce bearer smiled softly at the much welcomed back-up, while Gil as left with a puzzled look he had activated his omniscient star to see a giant red bird attacking him with... 2 Link!?

Quickly dashing he vision aside for being ludicrous he pressed the attack on Link, completely unaware of the ice arrow headed for one of his turbines; CCCRRRAACCKKKK!

Gilgamesh's great treasure had taken a surprise blow from the side that froze on of the thrusters solid reducing the great aircrafts speed significantly, looking to the side the King of heroes jaw dropped......... there on a giant flying duck creature were not one but 2 Links!

So shocked was the Fate that he almost forgot to return fire with his specialized armor piercing rounds, looking to shred the overgrown duck in to tiny bits, which he immediately proceed to do.

As the bullets came towards the Loftwing however he instantly spiraled straight through the barrage with unharmed heading straight for the ship itself, Gil attempted to move but the frozen thruster made it a challenge to do so fast enough, reacting quickly to the halted ship the red Link used his Longshot to get aboard the vessel!

Even with all this going on Gilgamesh still kept close track on what Link was up to ever since that surprise attack happened, and to his horror the Hyrulian had managed to almost subdue the kraken as he boxed it to near-death, " Wasn't enough uh, well I suppose it's time to fight a tiny flame with a raging inferno,".

Pulling out a strange artifact and a harpoon from the Gates of Babylon to stick it to, he launched the device right in the injured kraken's head just as Link was about to reduce it to mush, this slightly surprised Link as he didn't take Gil for the guy to kill his own men.

However such a thought was dashed aside as the Kraken who was still very much alive grabbed his sword wrist but with a human hand!?    Even more peculiar is that it doubled in sized standing on human legs, a buff body, and the only real squid parts left where it's head, the King of heroes had mutated his summon!

The Fate servant laughed haughtily, " Grand is he not, however he lost some arms during the transformation, let's remedy that shall we,".

With the snap of his fingers the Gates appeared above the Kraken dropping into his hands the jagged swords Sul-sagana and Ig-Alima.

Unintimidated Link simply decided to go for a single approach taking out his Biggoron's Sword to duel the newly rejuvenated monster.

Gilgamesh however couldn't watch the show as he confronted the red intruder who had gotten on his ship, and was running towards him right now!

Turning the ship's autopilot on The Fates archer opened the Gates again shooting multiple space breaking axes at the blue Link clone who blocked the attacks with his shield, but still skidded back due to the sheer impact dealt by the barrage, in the mist of the current attack Gilgamesh pulled out one noble Phantom; Gae Bolg.

As for the Loftwing duo it was getting pretty dicey, the plane even when put on autopilot still functioned like it was being flown by a professional, constantly weaving around every arrow shot at it with master level aerial skills, the best purple could do was chip throw off it's aim while he steered the rare bird away fro the counter shots.

And with the original Link he blocked a dual side cut from the mutated Kraken who in response head-butted the hero right in the nose, barely fazed Link told him off with a sharp elbow to the temple dazing the tentacled behemoth, before a thrust kick knocked the air from his lungs!

Tossing the mighty weapon at blue Link, Gil smirked as he attempted to dodge only for the spear to follow his every move, chasing the moving target around trying to blow him to smithereens, speaking of which Gil gave one simple command to the ship for it's current aerial battle.....

When the bullets stopped coming Purple Link suspected something big was coming, and he was right because three chemical bombs came right towards the clone and his mount!

Having the Loftwing fly upwards to avoid the missiles so he could get a clear shot in on the exposed Gilgamesh fighting blue on the Heaven soarer's bridge he was alerted by his friends cawing that tall tree projectiles followed the duo up as well, and due to their speed shooting them down was not advisable.

So gathering his share of the magical reserves he stopped the Loftwing casting a spell just as all missiles hit their target!

    BBBBBBIISSHHHSHSS!!

Pleased with the resulting explosion and chemical cloud Gilgamesh turned his attention back to blue Link who was still attempting to evade Gae Bolg, however after watching the clone for a bit Gil decided now was a good time for wardrobe change, as he switched into his Mythical Formal Wear.

Then with practiced grace he retrieved Caladbolg from the Gates holding it like a track star would a Javelin, so just as blue got tired of running and decided to block the attack he was struck in his back by the massively fast moving projectile launching him towards the mentioned spear!

    BBBBBBOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!

In the giant battle original Link dodged a massive beam shot out by Sul-sagana aimed at his chest, it hit the sea floor instead splitting it in half causing the water to drain underground, having failed to vaporize the Elven target the Kaijui Kraken jumped at Link Sul-sagana raised to strike, only to lose his whole left arm to a well timed lunge!

Now with Red Link on his mission which thanks to the sudden whirlpool opening up underwater had become rather difficult, fighting the strong currents pulling him down the clone went for his grappling hook latching onto giant Link's leg then began to climb up until he reached his shirt collar to whisper the plan into his ear.

On the Heaven soarer Gilgamesh walked up to the smoking, pierced, and, bloody corpse of blue Link who landed near the last working thruster, trying to see what sort of magic was at work here, only for the clone to do one last act before he vanished, light a super bomb under his body, BOOOOMMM!

The resulting explosion blew up a large chunk of the thruster, resulting in the ship losing altitude fast quickly jury-rigging the motor unit at FTL speeds the Archer kept it in the air, but it wasn't the only one still there as purple Link appeared before the halted vessel, shielded inside a spherical dome.

Seemingly throwing caution to the wing the purple Link sent the Loftwing away while he jumped at the immobile airship with a ball and chain weapon that smashed into the cockpit, shutting off the option to steer it manually anymore, Gilgamesh was not happy.

In fact he was belligerent, " Do you comprehend the lengths this takes to mend die already," with that he whipped out Gram unleashing a  slash of pure dark and light energy, but his rant had alerted the purple clone to the attack before it was launched which allowed him to pullout the Mastersword to deflect it before just it hit him to deflect it downwards.

    SLASH!

That was the sound of the Heaven soarer from grace in to pieces, Gilgamesh jumped of the ruined plane at purple Link who put on his hover boots to combat the floating Archer, swinging his blade at the Fate servant the clone was easily sidestepped by his adversary.

Turning around to pull out his True nine lives vase Gil fired all nine phantom lasers at the air-born clone reducing him to Swiss chesse in just a split second, before he vanished into mist!

With the clones done Gilgamesh looked to the original Link who had unsurprising taken out the Kraken by way of stomping out both it's knees, making it black out from the pain, also the sea had been completely drained from the laser beam.

With the creature incapacitated the noble hero returned to base form with very little magic left, but before he could refill his mana reserves a certain man touchdown right in front if him.

The first thing Link noticed was that the Immerser of everything had changed clothes, going from his armor to a ceremonial type wear that appeared to grant a speed boost seeing as how he moved faster then he did before.

Suddenly Gil began to clap, not a slow mocking clap to belittle the hero, but a genuine sound of applause that actually showed how impressed he was with Link's strength and willpower shown thus far.

" You've done well for a mortal, it's rare that I'm pushed to such a limit that I've had to dawn my mythical wear, now I do believe that display of power and skill has left you somewhat drained, take this time to replenish yourself," Gilgamesh offered with a sincere smile.

Sensing no ill intent from his rival Link drunk a blue potion fully healing his wounds sustained from the battle and refilling his magic, with that done he took out his sword and shield to combat Gilgamesh once more, flash-stepping at him for a flourish but missed hitting only an afterimage!

Baffled by how insane the speed increase given by the garment was, Link barely had enough time to block a hacking blow from behind as Gil appeared with a mountain busting ax to his face, scattering away part of the forest both of them still fought in, however Link stood firm pushing the Fate servant away.

Regaining his footing extremely quickly Gilgamesh laughed heart fully as he pulled out a weapon very dear to him, Enikdu.    " I can see now why that foolish boar Gannon was so worried about you, now it's time to test your worthiness in full,".

Putting on his Peguses boots the Goddess's choice dashed after his Fate opponent who unraveled his new chained whip as the two engaged in another clash of might, going at speeds similar to a Dbz fight with the shockwaves to boot, but it was different this time.

Link in all the other encounters with this Gilgamesh guy had felt nothing but unbridled arrogance, scorn, or both from the self proclaimed King of heroes, as he blocked a snake jab from the chains his foe wielded by a hairs width at best, but now he knew the guy saw him as a worthy challenger now, and it kinda made him want to beat Gilgamesh even more!

Only for the chains to come back catch the hero around his neck, pulling out his flute Link played a tune to slow down time as he managed to land a flaming disarm on Gilgamesh in one swift motion, and by that I mean cut off and incinerate the King of heroes right arm!

Shockingly though the Servant wasn't even fazed as he grinned madly at the Hyrulian knight, " Nice move boy, using time as a weapon against a faster foe but not enough,".

Casting curtain of nights Gil canceled out anymore time hex from Link, then with only one hand he expertly closed in the chains around the Elf entangling Link in them faster then he could react, pinning him to the ground.

Having immobilized his target Gilgamesh took out another close to heart weapon; Merodach. With it he unleashed a massive blast of light onto the trapped reincarnate that not only eclipsed him but burned away the whole ecosystem they fought in!

Then for the finally he dashed right through the light piercing straight through Link's chest!

    ( End music)

As the light cleared away it revealed a burned and stabbed through Link who held his head down appearing to be dead," And thus another worthy opponent has died by my hands, this fight'll remain in my memory for millennia to come, farewell to you, Link," Gil payed his respects to the appearing dead hero, while lifting up his face to get a look at him Gil was shocked to see a mas- BOOOOMM!!

The explosion happened launched the unarmored King of heroes away rattled from the blast long enough for the fairy red Link who had hid in the Originals pocket dimension to turn into a Goran spin slamming the Legend into the ground!

With the plan working Link quickly reached into his hyperspace to retrieve his trump cards, first he drinked the Guardian potion+ and pulled out his most powerful mask yet all while yanking out the object in his chest tossing it aside....

Lifting the giant monstrosity off him Gilgamesh threw the last clone into the air summoning back his pervious weapon to cleave through red Link causing him to vanish then turned his attention back to the........... obviously alive and really jacked up Link!

Feeling the Fierce Deity mask's power coursing through his veins the Hyrulian simply stood up and just by doing that he snapped the chains off as if they were made of paper, the weapons meant to hold divinity were mere nuisances to whatever Link had become!

He now stood 7 feet tall  with a menacing aura that even Gilgamesh almost trembled from, but more imposing then anything else was the weapon he wielded a double helix version of his Mastersword held firmly in both hulking arms ready to strike down any who challenge him.

Seeing that his admired opponent had just now gone all out Gilgamesh knew what he had to do, " Very well then my worthy challenger, you've proven worth the effort, allow me to show you my true power,".

True to his word the Legendary king pulled out his best and most powerful weapon, EA, which he held in a manner similar to a saber fencer in sharp contrast with Link's knightly stance.

No more words were spoken at this point, what's there to say at the end of it all........oh ya that's right, last round let's go!

    xseyaa1nib: Fierce Deity LinkVS

No longer holding anything back both heroes ran towards each other swinging their blades together, but only Gil made contact as he slashed at Link's chest while staying out of range at the same time, but was dumbfounded that absolutely no damage was done to the Hyrulian!

Even though the weapon was till charging up it still should left at least moderate wounds with it's astral effects, going in for a full flurry The King of heroes lunged multiple times at the hero who actually managed to react to a few of them even if barely, then without warning Link activated Din's fire, FWOOOOOSSSHHHH!

Caught off guard by the surprise wide spread attack the Fate archer was fired back, multiple burns appearing all over his body, Link tried to stab at Gil but found it to be difficult with the speed boost gifted by his new clothes, the King of heroes had little problem striking at him while evading at the same time.

On the other hand Gilgamesh found t much easier to land hits on his rival, as he displayed in a variety of fast cuts to his wrists, ankles, and body trying to halt his movement even if only a little, but no matter what he tried the Juggernaut known as Link just tanked it all like it was nothing, brushing aide all the damage to him with no effort!

" Damn, how can a; I'll be it exceptional mortal have such, power! The sword is only at 45 percent now, guess I'll have to push it further," Gilgamesh mentally concluded.

Link as having a similar problem but with his opponents speed instead, Gil had become a real dodgy target coming in to land about five hits to Links one or if lucky two counters that never landed, the upside however was that since he wasn't armored anymore that's all Link needed now, just ONE SOLID HIT!

As the two fought the realty barriers round them started to become undone shifting off kilter and falling apart as space itself was ripped asunder due to EA's charging up, fallen trees faded out of existence, boulders from long destroyed mountains, burst simultaneously, and even the sky itself  spread open revealing the stars above!

Catching onto all the happenings Link knew he had to end this now or the world of Hyrule would be in for a harsh reality warp, positioning his blade so that it blocked Gil's next strike he turned the blade clockwise to blade lock EA in his grasp, Gil with only one hand had no hope of breaking it.

Like this he could have easily broken the weapon, kill Gil with the one-shot, or whatever instead though he....... found himself wanting more........ to end this duel in such a way would be an insult, no, there was only one true way it could all end..................

In a flash Gil was Roundhouse kicked at least half a mile back skidding along the ground with his boots digging a football sized crater in he land, three of his ribs were defiantly broken right now, but he'd heal soon, for now it was the time to prepare for the finally.

Gil charged up every last ounce of power he could into EA greatly minimizing it's charge time, with the full power of the weapon ready reality just plane broke apart around Gil, the sheer energy of the noble phantasm to much for it to handle...

Even at a distance Link still felt a massive shift in the dimensional barriers, so strong it almost broke through his Guardian potion+, so just to be safe he attached his cane of Byrna to aid him in this final clash as he then took a mouth full of some nuts, afterwards he took his stance for mortal draw..............

Both waited...................... Concentrating of the inevitable.........................closing their eyes, focused solely on their blades.........then it happened!

Sprinting forward at speeds light wished it could handle Gil went right at Link poised to strike him down......... he appeared before him in a second, Link took his swing releasing a mighty energy wave of pure force at Gil who mere feet away now, the King of heroes swatted it aside with moderate effort, but then the unthinkable happened.

Just as he deflected the energy slash away, Link spat some nuts on his body stunning him for a second which was all the Hyrulian needed as he brought down the Helix sword with godly force and yell to boot, AAARRRGGHHH!!!  SSSSSSSLLLLLAAASSSHHHHH!!!!

For a moment all was still, then Gil simply started to fall apart as he was cut from shoulder to waist!    But before he disappeared into the realm of Fates once more he had one last remark for Link, " You were a worthy opponent........... my friend,".

At that very moment Link uttered his first sentence in the entire match, " As were you, Gilgamesh, farewell,".

And just like that the Legendary King of heroes faded away, signifying The hero of Time as the victor.    With that settled Link reverted back to base, paid his respects, then walked off to survey and wish the damage done to his world was fixed.

Verdict to Heroes of Legend! Fateful: Now that was a brawl of legendary proportions!
Red hood: I'm more happy that Gil lost to be honest, guy was a prick.
Aladdin: Come on Red he changed at the end, now onto the reasons why this brawl was so close yet pretty straight forward, that it took a month to do!
Fateful: Right, well first off physicality was pretty...... one sided, I mean Gil is slightly stronger due to being comparable to someone who lifted the sky but Link has dealt with star level threats, regularly tanks hits from multi-continent busters, and is casually sub-relative at base!
Aladdin: Yeah.... if it wasn't for his vastly superior armor Gil would have gotten one-shot pretty quickly, add in his opponents immensely better CQC skills and Link utterly kicks his as in a straight up fight.
Red hood: Very true, but while The king of heroes is vastly inferior in physicality at base he makes up for it by having faaaar better long range that'll constantly keep Link on h

This fight was a lot of fun, even without knowing too much of Gilgamesh he really came as an entertaining blood knight who respected Link which is always cool.
